They are the cheapest > things I can think of. > Yoonchi. Hi. Got an SM58 already. Great for many things, but can't do much with percussion or really getting accoustic guitar sounds. Mind you, a friend says he got the best string section sound of his life with a Tandy PZM (got one) and 2 SM58s in the right places in a great-sounding room. Down to mic positioning, I think! THe thing with having a good condenser is especially with inexperienced vocalists with an interesting tone who haven't got the level - you need one to catch all the nuances.
