Here's the long-awaited Ohmforce deal!!

For the newbies: what's a "LUG deal"?
A LUG deal is a group buy. The high amount of subscribers on this list 
allows us to obtain great prices from developers. So, by subscribing to 
this list, you pay less for your favorite tools! ;-) We've had 3 group 
buys before on this list. 

Some brief information on the Ohmforce products. Ohmforce is a small 
French plugin developer. You can visit their website by clicking this 
link: http://www.ohmforce.com
They currently have 4 plugins on offer, one of those being a free plugin!

* Ohmboyz: THE delay of all delays!
* Frohmage: an excellent filter plugin (free!)
* Predatohm: multiband plugin to warm up, boost and distort signals. 
Computer Music rated this plugin 10/10 and suggested it was the best 
distortion available on a computer!
* Hematohm: a frequency shifter that can do beautiful phaser sounds to 
strange vocal effects.

Ohmforce (http://www.ohmforce.com) have offered us the following deal: 
If 30 people or more order both PredatOhm and Hematohm, then they get 
Ohmboyz for free! The deal is only valid for the Expert and Pro versions.

Things to know:

- For each plugin, there's a standard version, Expert version and a Pro 
Pack. The Expert and Pro versions have an extremely powerful midi 
implementation. They have an "autobind" feature that assigns any 
controller to any parameter automatically. User midi assignments can be 
stored and recalled etc. Ever wanted to use your synth's cutoff knob to 
control the cutoff of the Frohmage plugin? It just takes 2 seconds to 
set up the right assignment. Full information on the different versions 
can be found on their website.
- Ohmforce has a cross platform policy: all plugins are available on Mac 
and Win platform.
- All plugins have a demo version (see website) and contain good 
documentation and a good set of presets.
- Most plugins have two available skins. The Pro version comes with both 
skins. If you get the Expert or Standard version, just select the one you 
like when placing your order. There's a creative, original skin and there's 
a more functional skin. Check out the demos to see what you like best.
- For Windows, you can choose between a DirectX, VST or a WinAmp version. 
For Macs, the plugins are only available in VST format. 
(VST versions can be automated in Logic, DirectX and WinAmp versions can't)
- There's currently a bug in LAW 4.8.1. (fixed in 5.0!!) The newest 
versions of Ohmforce plugins can't be loaded (because they have full 
midi implementation which confuses Logic). To overcome this, you can 
either get the DirectX version, or even better, you can ask Ohmforce for 
a midi-less version of your VST plugin (next to the one with midi of 
course!). Then everything works fine. Logic 5.0 does not have this 
problem. You can obtain the midi-less version by mailing Ohmforce 
directly after buying the plugin.
- There is a known incompatibility with specific input-devices on Mac: 
some trackballs and tablets don't work correctly with Ohmforce's current 
range of plugins.

How do you participate? Very simple: during the next two weeks, you send 
an email to joeri@... with the following things:
1. Make sure the subject line contains OHM so I can filter the mails 
correctly.
2. Your Ohmforce user account name. Don't have an Ohmforce user account 
yet? Just go to their website and make one.
3. Your order. (Expert or Pro versions?)
4. Any specific wishes (midi-less versions etc)
The offer is valid for two weeks (until 27 March). Once those two weeks 
are over, I'll deliver all data to Ohmforce and then you place your 
order via the website. Because of the data you've provided to me, 
they'll know that you're included in the deal and they'll give you your 
third plugin for free.
