Re: OT : Musikmesse 2002

2002-03-16 by Joeri Vankeirsbilck

I just got back from Frankfurt. I had set my account to digests and I'm
now catching up with the mails. I now enjoy the results of the trimming
and quoting things the admins have been doing the last two days! Very
nice work guys! It was easy and nice to read the digests!

Anyway, back to the topic:

Sunday will be busy indeed, although I must say there was not a big crowd the days i went (Thursday and Friday), so it might still be ok on Sunday.

The best thing to do:
* if you schedule meetings with people, set them to the same meeting place and plan each meeting shortly after the other. I don't do that, which means my two Messe days are divided in one and a half meeting day and half a day visiting the booths. :-)
* make a list of what you want to see. Write down the booth numbers as well.
* wear easy footware!!!!!
* skip the things you're not interested in, but since it's your first time, I wouldn't recommend this to you. It's nice to catch a glimpse of everything.
* you can save some money by taking your own drinks and food inside (saves money and equally important: saves time!)
* have fun! ;-))

Some companies are missing, I think (I didn't find EMU or Panasonic/Ramsa). There's also not that much new stuff.
The Emagic booth is at the end of the 6.0 Hall.

I'll try and write a report on my Messe experience of this year (I believe it was the 5th year in a row that I went). First need some sleep though... it was great, but exhausting.

Cheers,
Joeri
