Hi Martin,

thanks for your reply. I've looked at the AMEK before, and it's great, except
one major design flaw: it's got a built-in fan! While this isn't a problem in
a control room/live room situation, it is here, where I do a lot of work on
my own.
Also, I'm sure that the Focusrite DAC is pretty much on a par with the
'smaller' Apogees. If I was to buy an Apogee converter in the long run, it
would have to be the PSX 100 (or whatever it's called) if I can't stretch to
the big'un (for simultaneous top-notch monitoring and recording).
