It was not a threat, it was a promise... :)  It was my intention at the time
to stay subscribed to the OT list for a few days, to finish out these
threads.  I believed that a window of opportunity would remain open for a
short while in which I might still make a positive impact (though I can't
say that I'm satisfied with my efforts).  Even though this is a virtual
community, I believe that some of the discussions that take place here can
have real consequences on the attitudes which people bring to their real
lives.  I know that this is true for me, at least.

On that note, I depart.
