Yes, this is quite genuine. I got the same thing about a month ago. My copy
of Sophos dealt with it immediately. Notice the difference in the text of
this one placing the emphasis about information about the virus rather than
the fact you should tell the World about it.
At the end of the day, if you have the latest virus software you should
avoid roughly 99.9% of all viruses, and the other 00.01% you will perhaps
never see. I haven't been seriously affected by a virus for about four years
now.
