Audio Round-Table, this Wednesday!

2001-03-28 by David Eager

Hi !

If you're interested. I have started a session in Emagic Pro
studio center [http://www.emagicstudios.com] called 'Audio Round-Table'
It will kick off this wednesday [Mar 28] at 8pm. [just look for it in
the Emagic Pro public sessions list ]

> A discussion forum [chat] for Audio Pros will be held in this session
on Wednesdays (at 8PM [pst]
> (thursday,0400 GMT) initially, until it can be extended further for
other time-zones).The purpose will be to
> exchange experience on anything in the audio realm which has been of
concern to Pro users during the week. If

:) Or just come and 'chew-the-fat'

I know that every 'Pro' user has a unique studio setup, and often
approaches the way they work with Logic Audio, ProTools etc. in quite a
different manner. So often one user may have valuable info and
experience to pass on to their peers, and vice-versa, when needed. It's
good to get in a forum where people have similar expeience levels, so
that they don't have to sweat the basics too much, and where we can all
drop in when we hit a snag in production, and can find someone to confer
with.

At first the session will be only scheduled for the wed 8pm [PST] slot,
to test the waters, but I hope there can be a rolling agenda with
sesions on a bi-weekly basis and covering several time-zones. Also, I
would like to see the session used as a drop-in , so it will be known
that anyone logged in there is prepared to chat about nerdy stuff, or
swap war-stories, a litttle :)

if you feel you are interested but the time-slot prohibits you from
joining, just drop me a line and I'll keep you informed of any new
sessions we schedule that will suit.

Also, when this takes off, we will be looking for volunteers to moderate
sessions in other time-slots.

Lets make this a lively discussion forum for Audio Pro's in general .
