hit kit logic error

Hello,
I've got the Hit Kit and I started using it a couple of days ago. Unfortunately I've got a 
problem with it:
when I try to import an audio track (in Mac OS X and Mac OS 9) I get this error 
message:
"INSUFFICIENT ACCESS PRIVILEGES FOR OPERATION result code= -5000": what am I 
doing wrong???
