The ATTO card is supposed to be good. I think it was the only one supported 
by Digi some years ago. I put the Adaptec card in. In using it 7 months or so, 
I have had the experience twice of it suddenly disappearing from the desktop 
and appearing to be gone. I don't know if the disk or the card. Later after 
several reboots it came back. Except for that, its great - for audio and also for 
Photoshop.

That apatec card 29160 was about $450 2 years ago, but i think they are less 
now - maybe $250.
