When I tried the Quad Frohmage it enabled me to get a very hard and funny
techno sound on drum beats. Example:

The PSP Nitro is very different IMO. It seems to me that its strange is
dynamic filtering synced to song tempo. It can provide almost "3D ambience".
I also have an external analog filter bank, the Akai MFV42, and with the PSP
Nitro I can get those sounds right away without having to route audio
externally through the Akai and record it back again.

I guess you know there is a demo of the PSP Nitro available? It's quite CPU
intensive so in praxis it will only be used with my G5.
