Do you make the IR to last the time period of one beat? E.g. 120 bpm, each 1/4 note is 500 ms, so your audio file is 500 ms? Is the idea of this to not have a sloppy overlap of the reverb tail onto the next beat? Can't you just grab the edit handles in Space Designer, and make it cut off or die away faster?
