Just the Saffire game is over for me. I returned the first unit because of broken phantom power. The second unit worked a couple of hours until phantom power went down again. The dealer told me something about early series, repaired units and so on and the price was very low but I decided to stop that experiment, frighten the bank and go for a Fireface. I started with an Aggregate Device Saffire+Firewire 410 as the Saffire broke. That would make the system more flexible and give me 8 ins and 20 outs although I would keep the bigger latency of the 410. We can go to the LUG with that if you want, I just cannot test anything because the Saffire will leave the studio today. Would be more of a theoretically discussion. ___ Peter Ostry
