It's too soon to use the intel macs for Logic or ProTools software.   
You need to wait for Apple & Digi to release "universal" versions of  
their software.

If you must get something right now and use it immediately, you need  
to stick with the G5 until the new software is available, probably a  
few months.  Even then, it might be a while till they get the bugs out.
