You shouldn't cable it to anything but instead set the correct port in the parameter section of the multi instrument. This is the actual MIDI port that your instrument is plugged into.

Once you have done that all you need to do is create a track in the arrange with any of the channels of your multi instrument and play your keyboard. The notes should now be sent to your instrument.
