The Logic Off Topic list

I wanted to pencil in my drum parts so from the arrange window I 
selected "Matrix Editor" and changed to the pencil tool.  When I try 
to pencil in the notes I get a message saying "No suqeunce 
specified.  Please select any note to specify a sequence."  I'm 
confused, any ideas?
