Really Phil - can you expect us to trust or respect the judgement of the man
who has just written the theme tune for the Tory party's next 4 years in
opposition. I heard his election ditty for the first time blaring out of a
Conservative Party car on election day and thought to myself "What a load of
old bollocks! That'll sink them good and proper!" and lo and behold they
lost massively.

Haven't been following this guitar thread dreadfully closely (do we move on
to sax players next, then gracefully but thoroughly through instruments
until we get to tea-chest bass and washboard?) but don't think I've seen
Eric Gale mentioned yet. Love the stuff he did with Bob James/Grover
Washington/Stanley Turrentine...I saw Kevin Eubanks play in a jazz club in
Greenwich Village back in '84. Now there's a man with a definite, really
personal  and different sound.

Rory Gallagher? Now there's a blast from the past for UK blues and rock fans
from the late 60s/early 70s...yawn...
