Logic and B4

2001-08-11 by Litepipe

Hello!! I just got the NI B4. It's absolutely amazing!! I am trying to use
it with the Generator internal midi port. The reason is that there is so
much latency when I use it as a VST instrument. I noticed when I open the B4
on it's own I can get the latency much lower. So by using the Generator
internal midi port I can send the data from Logic to the B4 like I would a
module. The problem I'm having is that Logic has crashed twice on me while
doing this. The computer completely restarted on me. Is there a setting
somewhere I could change? Does this just not work with Logic? I'm trying to
get the lowest latency possible until the multiface I ordered comes in.
Thanks!! --Roger

Hi,
Are you on a Mac or PC? And if you are using it with Logic, do you use
ASIO, and which card? When using ASIO, up the buffersize.
Good luck,
Yoonchi.

[L-OT] Retrospect & Mac intern CD-R

2001-08-16 by David Löhe

Hi folks,

the backUp discussion in the last days make my looking on the retrospekt
express 4.3 software, which is included in my Norton SystemWorks 1.0
Package. It has really great features and I like to use it, but *boing* it
doesnt work with the intern CD-Burner of my G4 466...

So on small Projects (up to about 650MB) I can now make a backup from one
HD to another and then Burn it on CD. But how can I handle it to backup Big
Projects, lets say about 5GB? I cant wait with that BackUp until Dantz make
their Retrospect compatible with the intern CD-Burners... :(

Is there a way to split a big backup file into many small files?

What other choices do I have? (...without spending any more money, for
example for an external CD-Burner)

Thanks for any info

David

Hast den neuen Patch für die 4.3 schon ausprobiert?

There is a new patch on the dantz pages, maybe it works.
