hello,my fellow digital audio warriors!  Iwas planning to sync an analog tape recorder(fostex g16s) to digital-multitrack(fostex d-160) to Digi 001(Mac w/logic audio). However, the d-160 won\ufffdt sync properly to analog tape.We have tried every possible trick we know,but "no can do". Timecode was recorded at every possible level,DolbyS switched off(tr.16),SMPTE frame rates match,yes,the syncronizer card is installed!Variable or free-wheeling sync tried,nothing helps! I have had the both recorders in sync,but this was before the d-160 went thru version 2.00 upgrade.  Fostex does not have any good user- end support,so if any of you know about a user group,some GOOD(Fostex or SMPTE related) links,whatever, about this topic please,respond...
