Its a bug with the combination of LAP4.7.3 and OS9.1 or later as far as
I can see. I recently upgraded to OS9.2.1 and it has become less
reproducible, but still happens. I have not had it happen on 4.7.2 o can
I repro it on that, so maybe it's logic's bug, but something in recent
macOS'es is playing a part too. there have been a ltta posts to the list
on it. Also i thing VST plugins play a role, and maybe some
soft-synth-related extensions.
Personally I'm gonna persist till I find what may be causing it, cause
otherwise the 4.7.3/OS9.2.1 combo seems a lot more stable and 'right' in
all other respects.

Really, that's interesting, I only have come across this exact
phenomenon on the 4.7.3/OS9.1 combo.

Not just LAM even things like Eudora do it as a matter of fact it
even seems to happen in the finder.
Very annoying.
