Hi Jorma
   I haven't been one to really believe in those writings either, but 
I sure am worried sometimes when events seem so close to those 
prophecies. This seems so close to one, doesn't it?

Do you see any evidence that this will ever happen?
You don't confuse man becoming more "civilised" and complicated with 
man getting better do you?

we may become unilaterally governed[help] but i bet there will be 
plenty of civil war if this ever happens.

AFAI understood the last Nostradamus verses I read he said (something like):
10. July 2008, Lybia (!) under Ghaddafi (more likely his son) will attack France (Bordeaux,
Paris, Lyon).
Ghaddafi is meant to be the third Antichrist. Nothing seems to be said about Bin Laden and New
York in 2001 (if Bin Laden is at all the man behind the America attacks...).

All the prophecies sound shocking, but most don\ufffdt stand deeper examination IMO.
I\ufffdm no expert though.

Close to prohecies ?? do you mean this one ?

Nostradamus 1654

Well it is not half bad considering it was written by a guy who had 
been already dead for almost 100 years. Nostradamus lived 1500 - 
1566. Also the whole prophecy is falsified. The actual writing was:

Five and forty steps the sky will burn
Fire approaching the large new city
Instantly a great thin flame will leap
When someone will want to test the Normans.

Great prophecy eh....

It must have been from his son, Nostradumbass, I guess. :o)

I must confess, I haven't read them, and was only going by heresay. 
But I've alwaya heard about these times seemingly already forseen even 
in the Bible. But I'm sure you probably know that the exact truths 
there too. The eagle was nice though, wasn't it. I know I'm crying, 
and my heart is broken. AND, I'm very worried about was to come over 
this. That's what I really should have just said striaght out.
