OT: Synth programming tutorials

2001-09-21 by yoonchi@chello.nl

Hi,
A couple of times some people on this list have been asking
about material to learn to program synths. Maybe this is also useful
to people learning to program the new VSTis.

The magazine Keyboard has been running a tutorial these last couple of
months about synth programming and have put material to support this
online. So for those who missed out on the magazine, the articles,
including tutorial material, are online.
Just go to www.keyboardonline.com, click on 'features' and search
for 'Soundforum'( click on the 's' link and you'll get there). The
first tutorial is at the bottom of the 'Soundforum' list. There is a
'Soundforum' synth provided for this tutorial by Native Instruments.
The latest edition of the group of articles is about FM programming.
So now I also can get to learn the ins and outs of FM programming,
which I missed out on when it was launched in the early 80's, :-). So,
have fun, and I hope this wasn't another too OT mail, ;-).
Peace,
Yoonchi.

No no no...this is horrible ;-) this post is too much on subject and
therefore does not belong to OT list :-)
