the real evil

the real evil

2001-09-24 by Teddy Kumpel

the philosopher Bogwam once said, (semi quote)

"the two greatest evils in the world are religion and
patriotism/nationalism"

seems America's "New War" is pitting these 2 factions against each other to
me. The Islamic extremists meets the Patriotic American Christian right.
Nice arrogant 3rd world war soup. I fear it has started to boil and we'll
all be tasting it's bitterness soon... maybe if we're lucky the meek really
will inherit the earth after all these bozos kill each other off. I
personally would like to see MTV run a special edition of Celebrity death
match between Bin laden and Bush, now that would be entertainment.

Did anyone notice that Bush said at his congressional speech, that felt a
little too much like a Hitler rally, that the terrorists hate the US because
we are free? what a load of malarky. they hate us for a lot of reasons, but
that is about as far from the real reason as you can get. I certainly don't
condone what they did to my NYC skyline but how silly can Bush be? The great
American Snow-job has started... see it on CNN.

Agreed. Maybe I've just been focussing too much on the narrow-minded ones.

Probably because they're the ones who make the most noise.

And ... by the way ... what are US people to think of Europeans and others
who make the most noise?
