Is Sounddiver the only program that can handle sysex files in general?

2000-03-07 by Yoonchi

Hi List,
This has been bugging me for a while: AFAIK Logic doesn't handle sysex
files(.syx). I know Sounddiver does this according to Emagic's site. Do I
need to buy Sounddiver just so I can try the syx files I can find on the
web? Isn't this a bit to expensive?
I would like to know if there is another way of handling these files. Is
there a sysex file editor freeware or shareware that can do these sysex
files. I've got a specific editor for one of my synths to do this, but for
other synths I don't have a sysex editor this.
Please help me find a sysex editor, since this has been driving me crazy
that Logic does not handle sysex files.
If it isn't a general editor then one for a Kawai K4 synth and one for a
Yamaha Cs1x and a QY10.
TIA,
Yoonchi.
