Liberating Holy Lands

Liberating Holy Lands

2001-10-11 by GAmoore@aol.com

Ironically one of the main rallying cries of the extremists is that US
troops are in Saudi. Never mind that the 'infidels' are protecting the
holy sites from another Arab country. However, Bin Laden's wish to
liberate the holy lands is exactly and precisely the mission of the
crusaders. They wanted to liberate their holy lands. The only problem was
that we had some of the same holy lands, and yet both peoples were too
stupid to realize the reason for this is because we actually worship the
same god (if we worship at all).

Bin Laden's wish is to have Taliban-style governments installed
in the two most important countries in the Muslim world: Saudi
Arabia (the one with the money), and Pakistan (the one with the
bomb). His motives are far from being holy in nature. What I was
pointing out was the common arguement that Some Muslims
use to justify their hatred of us.

If it was the Us governments role to protect the Saudis from the
bin Laden of the world, then it was the job of the Saudis to make
that clear to the rest of the Muslim world. and BTW, we've been
training other countries armies for decades, so why can't we
train the Saudis to defend themselves? That seems more
feasible than having US troops where they are clearly not
wanted, and it makes the US look less like the errand boys of the
world.

just my 2 cents. Sorry if I've digressed too far. :-)
