The Logic Off Topic list

I'm very sorry that you are in a bad way to day.  I do read books and every 
else.  But i also what to learn more than i'm learning.  

Different people explain in different ways.  Some i understand some i don't.  
This is not an easy way out.  I don't ask just for the answer i ask for 
explanation as well.

The books i've got don't really explain very well.  I'm on the net all day 
reading.  can't afford books (which is my problem) The libraries in north and 
East London. Never have any thing in.  I have to wait moths in advance.  In 
my case I'm doing.

Because you have a bad day there is no need to take it out on me.  

I really hope you have a better week.

I'm asking because there is afew people i have meet of the list and they talk 
to me when they need someone to talk to.  So why not ask?  If you don't ask 
you won't get?   I'me slowing getting there, but i was crying out for help.

There is nothing wrong with that.

This is the logic off topic list, so Debbie is fully entitled to post
whatever she wants, including questions, and anyway they may be off topic,
but are all related to music and sound.....

The LOT list is for OT, I believe....

If I knew the answer to a debbie question- I would help if I could. I've had
much help on this list myself in the past.

This is a sexist comment which I find offensive. I'm sure you would not 
tolerate being singled out as a female behaving in stereotypical negative 
ways. You were the one who appealed for help because you were just a 
woman.

Its not a matter of being nasty - no matter your gender or mine. 
1. I think that you are relying on people here to do your work for you - 
very specifically answering questions from your teacher. If you don't 
even know what an octave is, how to you hope to understand any of this 
discussion? You are in a class right? What books did your teacher expect 
you to read to answer these questions? A teacher would not ask you to do 
something if it were impossible... at least not most teachers. 

2. We have had a number of recent incidents of sexist comments, or 
perceived sexist comments, and in that framework, I hope you would be 
enlighted to see the implicit sexism in your own comments - subtle but 
unmistakable.

Of course, anyone can say anything they want here, and I am not the 
administrator here. However, if I have to watch this public display go on 
and on and on, then I have a right to comment on it also. I see this kind 
of thing all the time, students these days are just plain lazy. If they 
can get other people to do their work for them, they will and don't even 
think there is anything wrong with that. How do we know these various 
answers aren't being transcribed directly into a wordprocessor and being 
turned in on Monday morning with "Debbie's" name written on the top of 
the sheet?

If indeed you aren't a man, then Debbs is simply mistaken, but to say 
that is a sexist comment is just  rediculous.

I think we should ban the word sexist on this list, as it is bandied 
about much too freely   ;-)

Sexist comment.  Did you see what he said to me?  Right -  Never mind.  Got 
to much to do and focus on without having to go down this road.

Every one is entitled to their own option.  Took yours into account.   

Any good Acoustics web sites. I'd much appreciate.
