The Logic Off Topic list

This is fucken annoying me!

As if there wasn't enough traffic on this list, people seem to constantly
continue the stupid "cracked vs. legal" war, even starting to accuse Emagic
that it's their own fault because they don't deliver an evaluation version
or something else...

Further, if there's nothing else to complain about, such threads seem to pop
up on mailing lists on a regular base of let's say once half a year - after
quite some years on mailing lists this is REALLY REALLY pissing me off!

Originally I wouldn't cause any traffic by replying to such a silly thread,
but enough is enough!
I simply don't have the time to wade through a pile of shit every day -
sure, there were some clever comments on this thread, but it simply doesn't
belong in here, period.

I've seen this "Photoshop does it as well, why not Emagic?" thing countless
times.

Threads like this (combined with a number of other reasons) actually
are/were the reason for quite some valuable people to leave the LUG or not
answer to certain questions anymore because they simply can't afford reading
through all this. And no, the existance of mail filters is no excuse.

I'm the last person who's got anything against a little funny OT thing on
this list (actually I often laughed my ass off, reading the LUG), but
there's no sense in making an extended thread out of it with hundreds of
people commenting.

There are 3000+ people on this list, please think BEFORE you post!
