Wow, didn't know. I would never pay that much anyway for Logic, that's
amazing.

The only thing amazing is Logic itself.. The price is excellent.

It's not just $999 for a cd. It's $999 to support the dozen programmers and
all the other Emagic employees for the next 3+ years before another non-free
upgrade is released for Logic Audio Platinum. There are actual *people* who
make Logic and they need just as much money as you or I do to support
themselves and continue constantly improving Logic.

I personally did buy Logic Platinum 4.x about a month ago (4.62 was in the
box, got my 4.81 or whatever cd for Win2k in the mail a week ago), and I am
more than happy to pay $150 to get Logic 5. Personally, if I felt Logic was
not worth the price for it, I'd be using one of the lower quality cheaper
sequencers out on the market... and I sure wouldn't be in Logic mailing
lists bitching about Logic.

Proud to be an Emagic customer,
Jeremy

Well, Logic was worth what I paid, something like $400 a few years ago.
It's just not worth $999, or, more specifically, it's not worth giving
E-magic that money. But in any case I'm not "bitching about Logic". I am
complaining ardently about their business practices. My complaints likely
will have no impact. And I've avoided "bitching", I think, I made my
statement and am willing to leave it there. I'm not going to rant as I
would like to.
