The only (!) thing you have to do is to backup your log_ds.ax file which you will find in Windows\System. After a fresh OS install, just copy your Logic folder (from whatever backup media you may use), put log_ds.ax into the appropriate directory and reregister it (just drag it onto regsvr32.exe). Even without that Logic will start fine, it just won't recognize DX plugins. Ah well, you may want to backup your Logic preferences as well (from C:\Windows). I did it that way numerous times. I do have my original CDs though - even if I don't exactly know where they are right now... Regards, Sascha
