Have a look at the new digital 328XD
(http://www.soundcraft.com/products/328xd.html)

I own the previous model and am very satisfied with it. This new
model overcomes some shortcomings from the previous model (e.g.
separate compressor/limiter on every channel).

I'm only not too enthousiastic about the new color...

Been using 01V for about a year, love it. Everything= efx, dynamic
processors, great midi implementation, buss options, beautiful
construction, good size (if you wanted mobility), you can patch more
than one together for more channels.

The only thing I ever wanted to do that I couldn't was buss separate
channels to the digital out (it mirrors the master out), but there are
four analog busses. Oh yeah, and a great well lit VU window. Tops to Yamaha:-)

Dunno about the 2 others, but I use the 01V, and find it highly
recommendable, at least as far as audio quality is concerned. Yet,
you might have problems running 24 tracks into it from the MOTU
(unless you have 2 2408 units), since the 01V will take 8 digital
tracks from the 2408 in either ADAT or tascam format, on an optional
card (I use ADAT and that works fine), and the remaining 16 analogue -
also, 4 of these are configured as 2 stereo tracks. It may just be,
that the 01V isn't big enough for you.

Good luck on your decision.

I love my 328 as well. Great digital I/O flexibility . . . without having to spring for extra
cards.

You know, when I saw the new 328XD . .I thought there was something wrong with the
color on the picture. That is really an ugly looking color design. It's cool that they
added the dynamics for each channel . .but why no 96K support? Or surround support?

I think if I was in the market now, I'd have a real close look at the new Ramsa DA7 Mk
II.

best,
