If you have such software then it is almost impossible to sell it seondhand afterwards unless the company is willing to assist you. They have to accept your word that you will remove the authorization from your computer and then they have to be willing to give a new response authorization for the computer of the buyer. TC works is strongly considering not to upgrade their plugins for HD. I have both TC MasterX and Voicetools from them. If(!) I upgrade then these plugins will be of no use to me anymore and it will not be evident for me to sell them secondhand. So the license which I legitimately bought from TC works, in a certain sense (yes, I know I could stay with MIX) is discontinued by TC without an option for me. Somehow this does not seem correct to me. Software protection is a must, but in the matter above, floppies or iLok keys seem to offer a distinct advantage over challenge-response.
