Online sample libraries

2002-03-20 by sprawling

Hey,

I'm wondering if anyone out there subscribes to any of the
sample library sites that have been popping up? I'm about to do
a spoken word/comedy music project and I have long list of FX to
contend with. I need everything from bodily function/animal
sounds to backround sounds like bar, city street etc.

Thanks in advance,

sprawling

While performing certain bodily functions, I *do* sometimes make
animal sounds, occasionally accompanied by either bar sounds or
street noise, depending on where these bodily functions take place.
Would that be of any help to you?

:-)

Hi

here are a few free ones:

http://www.ontology.com/samples.html
*archives accessible via hotline*

http://www.samplenet.co.uk/

ftp://ftp.akaipro.co.jp/downloads/soundlibraries/
*use an ftp-app for more flexible download*

there are lots of samples to be had here, probably also some that
will fit your needs

For free? Yeah... dream on... Only my girfriend gets those sounds
for free. The rest of you will have to pay big bucks, I'm afraid :-).

What types of sounds did you think I meant? This is a comedy
record we're making!
