New thread :-0[gobsmacked]
Yeah Siam sunset is an obscure ozzie movie , I cant remember who directed it
but it was one of our exported golden boys who did some other good things
that are better known ,it could have bruce beresford [driving miss daisy]
but I'm not sure .If anyone is interested here are some more oz titles that
you may not have seen at a location near you but are worth ordering at your
vid store . Make it a huge request and get them to include the complete
range of Jaques Tati tragi, comi, farces [ just to stop any french
indignation by the by] ...
" Spotswood"... featuring a very young Russel Crow ,Toni
Collette[muriels wedding ] and the guy who played Hannibal Lecter who's name
escapes me at this point in time ,[my mission for the day] and Ben
mendlesohn plus a cast of old aussie favorites .
" Cosi" ... Ben mendlesohn again with a small part for men at works lead
singer[senile dementia has obviously been chewing at my brain
overnight ]ah!! Colin something or other. It's about a new occupational
therapist at a nut house who wants to put on a show and has it hijacked by
one of the inmates who wants to do Cosi Fan Tutti .....Mozart opera I think

John Polson.
His directorial debut, I believe, after making his name as an actor.

Another Aussie flick you should not miss is 'Dingo' [Miles Davis's one
and only acting credit, in which, I think, he reveals a lot about his
own life at the time]

Paint. Ice blocks. Desert. Lerv. It's got it all.

This film has to be a Brit Co-Pro doesn't it?
