OT: Win98/system HD partitioning advantages
1999-10-03 by Dedric Terry
With a 2-HD (one for system and apps, the other for audio data only) Win98 LAWP system, is there any advantage/disadvantage to partitioning the system drive to separate Win98 and audio applications. I do already have a separate drive for audio data, but wonder if separating Windows from apps might prevent severe fragmentation and possibly corrupted files if Win crashes (I have had this happen, and even lost my system drive due to Windows corrupting clusters, and then the medium, beyond Norton's ability to repair). I couldn't find an archive for the mailing list, but I'm sure this has been covered at one time - sorry for the repeat - I'm rebuilding my system later today/tomorrow.
