Re: [LUG] About OT, was: Getting a PC...goes now to very OT

Like you said, perhaps the OT list becomes a more interesting list, but on OT themes. And that´s what it is for. I don´t talk about the start of an OT theme, it always (hm, nearly always) starts out of a logic related thing. This is great, and it is what this list is (as a side-effect) meant to be. I totally agree with you. But when the OT gets bigger and bigger, I think there should be a point, when the thread goes over to the OT list. Sadly enough, I got no clue, how to do it, except forcing people to put the thread to the OT list. But that´s easily said, I think Joeri got enough stuff to do. Better would be when people themselfs put the thread over, when they see that they have raised a OT. Perhaps I add this to my new year´s wishes. But if you (personally) think we can handle it with page-down, deleting or in the worst case building filters for the OT related stuff, fine. I, personally, like the two list model more. I got folders for every list, and so everything stays in the place where it belongs to. Easy to manage. And when I check the new mails, I know what waits for me, in a second. I really enjoy reading the OTs, but I enjoy it more, when I got them in my L-OT folder. It would save a lot of time for everybody. Like I said in my first mail, just my opinion. If you think its worthless, remember page-down. And just to make it clear, my comment wasn´t meant offensive to anyone on the list or to the list itself. I know how valuable people like Sascha are, but what´s wrong with it when a quieter guy sends in a comment? Am I allowed to? Or do I have to answer a minimum of 200 questions, to throw in my opinion? So I cc: this to the OT list and we can discuss this over there (or privatly), if you like to. Regards Achim
