Subject: [LUG] [LAW] crossgrade SW1000XG question

Hi All,
thanks to those who answered my last question, and heres another.......

I'm thinking of upgrading to ver 5.x gold so I can also get a crossgrade Mac
copy. However, I dont want to go from a working and stable windows system
(win98, PIII 500, SW1000XG, LAW gold 4.5) to an unstable system, it took me
a while to find a stable combination, so......

Is there anybody out there using LAW gold ver 5.something on win 98 with
Yamaha SW1000XG soundcard, on a fairly old PC, and does it work, is it
stable??

Basically, does Logic Windows 5.XX get on well with the Yamaha SW1000XG?

I am currently on version 4.5 of Logic.

Cheers

John

I have used SW1k and Logic gold 5 with win px pro and it did work. I
had some problems in the beginning but that is more due to that the
SW1k only have drivers for W2k and not XP. Cant speak for Logic 5
and win98. I dont think you will have any problems if Logic5
supports win98 as the SW1k drivers work very well with win98.
