Your account could be bouncing email.

Thanks. I'll check it out.
Wouldn't explain my extra messages though. Nor would this, I think, explain
the strange order.

E.g. I have just received your response to me directly to my Inbox. My
original plus your response, are both on the egroups site.

However ... I have yet to receive my original message as an egroups subscriber.

I.e. you seem to have replied to me BEFORE I have actually received my own
message. (How do you do that, by the way!! Neat trick!!!)

I will let you know if and when my original message arrives.

But ... when you get this one is anybody's guess!!!!

Is this the only email account of yours that's subscribed? Contact me privately and I can do a full check-up on your account. We'll know very soon what's wrong.

Did I mail it to you privately?

??? This is strange! I'll check your account tonight!

Some mail servers are faster than others. I don't know much about it, but I've been told that some ISP's bundle all their outgoing mails and then send them off in intervals.

Bye,
Joeri

It is happening to several messages. This is the only email account I am
subscribed to.

As another example, your Admin mailing about insults has only just arrived.
But I received Sascha's response, my own response to that, plus Jesse
Widener's all yesterday. That is to say, after I had responded to what
Sascha said it then occurred to me that he had referenced a message of
yours that I had not actually seen. So I went to egroups and there it was!!
This is what set me thinking.

I think it best if I monitor the situation for a couple more days so I can
give you a better report and cite a few more specific instances. It will be
easy to track down what is happening that way. I will also contact you
privately about it because I am quite sure this is already tedious to
others in that I am the only one who seems to be having a problem with this.

Thanks.
