[admin] Changes in the admin team

2002-09-22 by Joeri Vankeirsbilck

Dear Luggies,

As you might have noticed, some things have changed in the
last couple of weeks. First of all, some new admins have
joined the LUG admin team. The new admins are:

Corey Burgett (cburgett@...)
Michael Oliphant (bogusdogus@...)
Tony Perretta (bambony@...)
Danny Simpson (simpsond@...)

These guys have already done a great job behind the scenes
for several weeks now. Welcome to the team!!

Of course the other admins are still helping out as well:

Jeremy Martin (sadus@...)
Orren Merton (orrenm@...)
Dave Peverley (no_such_user@...)
Joeri Vankeirsbilck (joeri@...)

Second, I have stepped back as the "main admin" of this
group, as well as the other Emagic-related groups. Jeremy
Martin has been so kind to become the main coordinator of
all admin activities. You can contact him directly about
any LUG related issues, or you can always email
logic-users-owner@yahoogroups.com and all moderators will
get a copy of your message.

I will remain subscribed to the group, but I have set my
account to "no email". I will also try to help out the
admin team when I can, but unfortunately I have very
little time these days which means I can't do much.
Eventually I will end my list administration tasks completely.

My reasons for stepping back, are the following:
* Emagic's decision to abandon the Windows platform. I'm
forced to switch to Cubase SX in the long run. I have
already ended my beta test account with Emagic and I have
picked up the SX crossgrade. I will also buy the NI Kontakt
crossgrade soon to replace EXS24.
* Changes in my personal life: since some weeks, I've
changed jobs. I've become the product manager and (co-)A&R
of Antler-Subway, which is EMI Recorded Music's successful
Belgian dance label. (feel free to send me your demos ;-).
This means I have very little time for list administration
tasks, especially as I will continue to produce music during
weekends and as I will soon start some further studies as well.

I want to thank all the subscribers for the nice emails, the
interesting discussions and the huge amount of information
that you've shared. I also want to use this opportunity to
thank the entire admin team for their great work!! I'm glad
to know that the list is in good hands!!

People who want to remain in touch with me, can always
contact me privately: joeri@... (it's my domain name,
so this will always be my private email)
or at work: joeri.vankeirsbilck@...

Cheers,
Joeri

This is from the mind of Alexis, not Jeremy...LOL. Jeremy is a
youngster. If memory serves, in his early twenties. I am sure he has
seen the original...but ain't old enough to remember. LOL.

Yah, the mini-skirts did it...skimpy mini-skirts...LOL. But let's not
forget the Belly Dancing Green Woman. Every young boys wet
dream...LOL. But of course there was waiting to see Cat Woman on the
Batman episodes. Suffice to say now...I think have had a crush on most
of the star trek women. Uhura, the Dancing Green Woman, Dax, 7 or 9,
and now it's T'pol.

So yeah, you and I are about the same age...lol.

LOL...
I either typed in "Jeri Lynn Ryan", "star trek" or it might have been
"Star Trek Voyager" @ the yahoo! search engine, I can't recall which
one, but it found everything under the sun. It was in moment kind of
thing.

But what I find most "funny" about this life size standee...was the
timing in which I found it after reading your post. So there their
sales pitch on that page reads:
"Lifesize standup of 7 of 9 in all her glory to light up your life"

...in all her glory to Light up your life...LOL!!! Who wrote that?
Marketing people like these really have to know when to put the doobie
down.

Well you still could have the blow up version. All yah need is a good
portrait, a color printer and some tape. Call it, "Home Brew blow up
celebrities"...in all their glory to light ones life. LOL

> Okay, going back to being adult again. Sorry, but couldn't resist.
> Uh, yes, resistance *is* futile...

Yes it *is*.

Peace,
Alexis
