Thoughts from the mind of logic-ot@yahoogroups.com, 28-10-2002:

I suppose this means that from now on the list will no longer be
moderated, and people are free to talk about politics, religion, sex,
gun-control, favourite food-stuff, physical shortcomings, how to get
hopelessly drunk and recover from hangovers, whether
extraterrestrials helped in building the Great Pyramid, and, uh...
music... from now on?

Okay, now we've got that settled: does anyone else think that the
extraterrestrials that helped build the Great Pyramid were probably
beer-drinking bastards from a far-away anarchy, who got off on
shooting their wives with assault-rifles, while eating their
favourite hamburger-like (though Martian-green coloured) substance,
all the while whistling Celine Dion-like tunes or mumbling prayers to
their one-armed, hairless gods?

Gee... I've wanted to ask that question for ages... Glad I finally
got the opportunity...

ROTFL!!!! :-)) Hey, if they're wife-beating bastards then surely
they can't be using Logic? All Logic users are kind, rational,
non-offensive beings, right?

Re: [L-OT] Japanese Instruments? Dennis?

Anybody out there know of an outlet that sells good Japanese
instruments? (seems to me Mr. Gunn resided there at one time).

Sources on the web are few and far between - the particular item I
wouldn't mind adding to the collection is hichiriki.

(not available at the usual places like Lark)

I will ask around but I don't even know what it is. What's a hichinki?

Small double reed instrument (like a tiny oboe) - part of the Gagaku
ensemble.

Thanks but don't trouble too much - its one of those things I think
about once in a blue moon.
