Hi Joris and Thomas,

This is really weird...............

My set up WAS working fine, but yesterday I had exactly the same problem as
Joris!!!, with some songs I was working on when in ASIO and also the blank
default autoload- with ASIO ticked the midi in port did not work, ie when
hitting keys on my controller keyboard (Evolurion MK149) no midi sounds
played, and nothing was visible in the transport window. I got round it by
loading the environment Mikael Adle kindly sent me, then , midi in works
with ASIO. Or when I want to add a new midi part to an existing song- switch
back to MME easi driver.

as I have a totally separate system to Joris, then this suggests some bug
between Logic and the SW1K ASIO driver?..........

what is going on???? everything used to work well, now I have less
confidence in the system, I want to make music, not endlessly
troubleshoot.......

BTW I think the card is fine- as midi in works fine with XG edit.

PC
(Logic 4.5 Gold Windows
PII350
256mb ram
2x10gigwestern digital caviar (-one just for audio)
FIC vb601 motherboard
matrox g100 AGP)

there is a separate boot drive for a clean minimal copy of win 98 and ONLY a
few music apps.

any ideas would be much appreciated from the rest of the list

Cheers

John
