The Logic Off Topic list

Hi Guys ,
   It's late and I'm slightly bent n' feeling elitist .
S.F. has been a great lit. interest of mine for quite a while now and I was
delighted to find Ian M. Banks after William Gibson went quiet a while ago .
Mr Banks writes non science fiction as well ,as some of you may know, under
the name of Ian Banks [I wonder what is the significance of that ?,like why
does s.f. need a middle initial ,is it some sort of schiz device or just
book keeping ]. Anyway my delightful partner just bought me a book home from
where she works [ she bought "Talking Timbuktu" home the other day ,Ry
Cooder and and Ali Farka Toure, great stuff..] Called " DEAD AIR" by Ian 'No
M' Banks ..I've only got to page 36 so I dont know how it ends and I'm not
even sure what it's about but... Fuckin Wow... listen ....even if you use a
mac do yourself a favour and check it out if you like books for grown ups.
