No, its a lot like Logic's plugs versus 3rd party. Do you just rely on Logic's 50 plugs? Is there no need for any other company to make them? Your argument missed the point. I do have plugs which are valuable and which I use - and which I have paid good money for. It is Apple which has not bothered to make them compatible because of their master plan. Same thing for VST. Apple wants to set the standard and control it. Thats great in a way, but they FORCE everyone to change or not use their stuff. In the same way that the new macs won't run OS 9 anymore ... force.
