   You sure you've got the plug-in settings folder (or a shortcut to
it) in the same folder as Logic? All the FX have at least a handful
of presets and the eMagic instruments have loads - if your version
doesn't, upgrade to 5.5 and/or download them (instrument settings)
from Emagic's website.

   There's a few user presets in the LUG files area:

- and there's a great book from Wizoo "Ralf Kleinermanns - Logic Audio
FX Collection" that comes with a CD including 500 odd presets for all
the ePlug-In fx in Logic v4.x - now apparently going for the 'special
price' of $15 - http://www.wizoo.de - I can certainly recommend this.

   KVR has some for the ES1 (maybe other Emagic instruments too?).

I've got v5.5 and I'm sure the plug-in settings folder is in the correct
place.
I will however double check this.
