I see a Lexicon MPX1 for 600US on ebay. I think I've seen MPX500s for 400US
so I assume the MPX1 has a higher quality reverb.

if i remember right, the mpx-1 has two lexicon

chips and the mpx500 has just one. unlike myself i'm sure that some beautiful tech

monster knows just what that extra chip is for?

I believe the MPX-1 has a dedicated chip for reverb,
so the quality of the reverb does not degrade as you
add other effects. I don't know how the reverbs on the
two units compare without any other effects, though.
