MOTU and Audiowerk8

MOTU and Audiowerk8

1999-12-08 by thebass

I could use some help.
I am having using the MOTU 1224 and 2 AudioWerk8 cards all at the same
time. I can't play audio recorded on the 1224 back on the AudioWerk8 card,
the audio sounds like it's in "Digital fast forward" also I can't seem to get
the two to play audio at the same time without the same sync problem,
regardless of where the audio was recorded. Is there a way to connect the
sync of one of the AudioWerk8 cards to the 1224?

Thanks

Howard

You have to sync the 2 AW8 and the MOTU. You can do this very simply in
connecting their S/PDif in out. You could take the MOTU as Master, going S/PDIF
out to the 1st AW8 Digital IN and from the 1st AW8 dig out to 2nd AW8 dig in.
Remember to put the input on digital in the preferences and that you can't record
with the analog Inputs of the 2 AW8s
Hope this helps,
Gilles
P.S: Would be nice to let me know whether it functions now, because I have an AW8
and wanted to buy a MOTU 2408 (don't remember the exact name) if this works
