It is very easy to get things networked between these OS's. It was more
difficult with OS9 but OSX and giganet is the go!!

It is indeed very easy to get osx networked to a pc (i'm running
win2k but xp is no different in this regard). You just need to make
sure that it (OSX) is running TCP/IP (from the networking doodad) and
Bobs your near relative (i presume peer to peer is what you use, if
you need help with client-server just ask). Click on 'home' in an osx
window and you will see a network icon dble click and it should show
you all computers within your workgroup (and give you an option for
those not). It is advisable to create a seperate user for network
access of your Mac, but, even if you don't you can create mapped
drives on your PC to any point on your mac! (I tend to use the public
folder as it is available whoever is logged on. Any difficulties just
give me a mail and I'll step you through it!

Ooops sorry a few errors (at my PC not my mac!) firstly you need to
turn on Windows file sharing (systempreferences file sharing doodad
icon) and secondly to get to the network click on 'computer' in a
window..
mike

AND (sorry about this) make sure that the user account you want to
log on using has the 'allow windows logon, checkbox checked (maybe
this isn't so easy after all...well its a hell of a lot easier than
using appletalk...)
