restarting-- over and over-- upon "shutdown"

restarting-- over and over-- upon "shutdown"

being that i'm a logic user, i thought i'd throw this out to fellow
users--even though this is a mac-specific question.

upon shutdown, does anyone else have their computer acting like it
"restarting".... sometime multiple times before it actually (properly)
shuts down?

No, never seen this behaviour in 15 years of Mac use. Maybe time to
run DiskFirstAid (or what's it called in Panther)?

i had this before..... turned out that a powered usb-hub between the
keyboard and the computer
was the culprit.

I'm a teacher and we do still run some Macs at our school.... When I
shut down it will often act like it's shutting down - come back up
like it's re-booting itself - and then finally go off (although
usually not multiple times). Never thought about it much till I read
your post though! Glad to know it's not just me....
