Using DECK 2 with atari Notator

Using DECK 2 with atari Notator

1999-12-09 by Evan Harris

I am currently trying to help a friend synchronize Atari Notator to Deck 2
on a Q 650. The idea is to use the Atari for sequencing and Deck 2 as a
multitrack, synchronized via midi. Does anyone know what settings should be
made in Deck 2 to enable it to sync to midi clock, or how to get it to send
midi clock including a start command to the Atari? I have been able to sync
the Atari to Rebirth on the Mac without a problem. I know that Deck is
sending MTC as I can see activity on the Mac's midi interface, and the
Atari's memory is affected by stop/start commands on the Mac. If someone
knows of a more appropriate place to ask this question that would be helpful
also.
Thanks Evan

Evan,
the problem is, that Notator ST doesn't know Midi Time Code.
You have to use Midi Clock - don't know if Deck supports this (I think it
does).
