The Logic Off Topic list

I have a dual 500mhz G4 and was thinking of upgrading my cpu.  I mainly
use os9 (and will most of the time on this machine) so I was
considering getting a proccessor upgrade for it.  Will I notice a big
improvement if I get something like the powerlogix Dual 1.4ghz
upgrade?  I thought about getting the quicksilver Dual 1ghz but didn't
see much advantage.  Thanks in advanced.

Generally most surveys of these kind of board upgrades conclude that 
it´s quite expensive for a moderate increase in power. You might do 
better waiting patiently for a secondhand faster G4 at a good price. 
A lot of people  -myself included - are waiting to buy a G5 soon.
