Do I need my PC for scoring or not?

Do I need my PC for scoring or not?

Hello
I just bought a Mac Pro dual core Intel 3.00 and Rme Fireface 800 running
logic 7. I also owns a PC quad 4200 AMD with Gigastudio that I was thinking
of slaving up thru Adat to the new MAC. I'm planning to do orchestral
scores.
A few people has been telling me to get rid of the PC that I'm not really
gonna need it since this new Mac is gonna have enough power run a full blow
orchestra internally (with the EXS and Kontact samplers East West Platinum
etc.) But I know a few big time composers like Hans Zijmmer uses several
dedicated giga machines. I like the thought of selling the PC because I like
having the samples internally in logic versus having to deal with the extra
latency dealing with triggering the giga machine and coming back into logic.
Also I could buy some other gear for the money. But if I'm losing alot of
virtual players (who lives in giga) it' not gonna be worth it.
Any thought or advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks in advance
Andy
