Hi guys,

Does anybody know if I can use an eSATA drive to boot the system?I'm running
Logic 7.2.3 and Mac OS 10.4.11 on a Dual G5 2.3 Power PC.I have just bought
Logic 8,and what I intend to do is install it on a different drive so I can
dive in without having to interrupt my workflow on Logic 7.I bought a
G-drive Q external drive which has all kinds of connections like USB
2.0,Firewire 800 & 400 and eSATA,and the eSATA seems to be the fastest
connection.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I couldn't get this to work over eSATA. Firewire works fine for boot drives though. This was using an external case with eSATA, FW 400 and 800, with a S-ATA Samsung 500 HD.

HTH, kind regards
